BoB 2000 clerical recuritment 2012

Bank of Baroda invites applications for 2000 Clerical post from Indian citizens who have taken the Common Written Examination for Clerical cadre conducted by IBPS in 2011.


Last Date for online registration: 10th April 2012

Payment of application fee: 24th March 2012 – 10th April 2012


SCALE OF PAY:  Basic Pay  Rs.7200 – 19300 +  DA, HRA, etc.

Number of vacancies will depend on state/UT.

Eligibility:

Age:  18 year to 28 years
Educational:  Graduate degree in any discipline or equivaent.
Essenstial Qualification:
  • IBPS Score obtained in CWE for Clerks 2011.
  • Candidates should have appeared from a centre in a State/UT for which vacancies he/she wishes to apply.
  • Should be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Should possess proficiency in the official language of the State/ UT (ability to read, write and speak local/State language) in which they have appeared for the Common Written Examination and in which they have qualified.
  •  Should be computer literate (proficient in MS Office Basic Applications).

Selection procedure:
  • Candidates will be called depending upon the TWS.
  • Interview will test candidate’s attitude, personality, level of communication, clarity and problem solving innovativeness, knowledge /proficiency in local/State language (ability to read, write and speak local/State language) level of effectiveness in computer operations, willingness to work anywhere in the State etc.
  • Now final merit list will be prepared and candidates will be called upon this merit list. This merit will depend upon marks obtained in CWE and interview.

Real Numbers:
Representation of natural numbers, integers, rational numbers on the number line. Representation of terminating / non-terminating recurring decimals, on the number line through successive magnification.
Rational numbers as recurring / terminating decimals. Examples of non-recurring / non terminating decimals. Existence of non-rational numbers (irrational numbers) and their representation on the number line. Explaining that every real number is represented by a unique point on the number line and conversely, every point on the number line represents a unique real number.

Laws of exponents with integral powers. Rational exponents with positive real bases. Rationalization of real numbers. Euclid's division lemma, Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic. Expansions of rational numbers in terms of terminating / non-terminating recurring decimals.

Elementary Number Theory:
Peano’s Axioms, Principle of Induction; First Principle, Second Principle, Third Principle, Basis Representation Theorem, Greatest Integer Function, Test of Divisibility, Euclid’s algorithm,  The Unique Factorisation Theorem, Congruence, Chinese Remainder Theorem, Sum of divisors of a number . Matrices

Polynomials:

Linear Equations in two variables:

Pair of Linear Equations in two variables:
Pair of linear equations in two variables. Geometric representation of different possibilities of solutions /
inconsistency. Algebraic conditions for number of solutions. Solution of pair of linear equations in two variables algebraically - by substitution, by elimination and by cross multiplication.

Quadratic Equations:
Standard form of a quadratic equation. Solution of the quadratic equations (only real roots) by factorization and by completing the square, i.e. by using quadratic formula. Relationship between discriminant and nature of roots. Relation between roots and coefficients, Symmetric functions of the roots of an equation. Common roots.

Arithmetic Progressions:
Derivation of standard results of finding the nth term and sum of first n terms.

Inequalities:

Coordinate Geometry:
The Cartesian plane, coordinates of a point, Distance between two points and section formula, Area of a triangle.
Areas and Volumes:
Area of a triangle using Hero's formula and its application in finding the area of a quadrilateral. Surface areas and volumes of cubes, cuboids, spheres (including hemispheres) and right circular cylinders / cones. Frustum of a cone.

Area of a circle; area of sectors and segments of a circle.

Trigonometry:
Trigonometric ratios of an acute angle of a right-angled triangle. Relationships between the ratios.
Trigonometric identities. Trigonometric ratios of complementary angles. Heights and distances.

Statistics:
Introduction to Statistics: Collection of data, presentation of data, tabular form, ungrouped / grouped,
bar graphs, histograms, frequency polygons, qualitative analysis of data to choose the correct form of presentation for the collected data. Mean, median, mode of ungrouped data. Mean, median and mode of grouped data. Cumulative frequency graph.


Probability:
Elementary Probability and basic laws. Discrete and Continuous Random variable, Mathematical Expectation, Mean and Variance of Binomial, Poisson and Normal distribution. Sample mean and Sampling Variance. Hypothesis testing using standard normal variate. Curve Fitting. Correlation and Regression.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR BHATTA:

1. THE CANDIDATE MUST BE OF 35 YEAR OR MORE.
2. HE/SHE IS NOT ENGAGED IN ANY KIND OF BUSSINESS OR PRIVATE JOB.

AMOUNT AND PAYMENT:
IT IS LIKELY THAT A AMOUNT OF Rs. 2000/- PER MONTH WILL BE GIVIEN TO ELIGIBILE CANDIDATES.
Amount will be cleared once in 4 month.

 Registration can be done physicaly or online.
This registration will be valid for 3 years. After this candidates have to renew their registration.
In absence of renewal candidates name is removed from the list. At the time of registration candidates have to give present all certificate and experience.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:

The written examination will be OMR based and of two hours duration, consisting of 150 objective type multiple choice questions.
  1. For STA ‘B’ & Technician ‘A’:
The written test will consist of (i) 50 questions on General Awareness,General Intelligence, Reasoning Ability, General Science and (ii) 100 Questions on Subject concerned.
  1. For Assistant Hindi: The written test will consist of (i) 50 Questions on General Awareness, GeneralIntelligence, Reasoning & Numerical Ability and (ii) 50 Questions each on Hindi and English Language.
  2. For Admin Assistant ‘A’ & Store Assistant ‘A’ : The written examination will consist of (i) 50 questionson General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning & Numerical Ability (ii) 50 questions on General English and (iii) 50 Questions on Hindi OR English language.
  3. For Civilian Driver ‘A’, Security Assistant ‘A’, Fire Engine Driver and Fireman: The written test will consist of (i) 100 Questions on General Awareness, General Reasoning, Arithmetic , Numerical Ability (ii) 25 Job related questions and (ii) 25 Questions on Hindi or English language.
