UPSC’s SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICES' EXAMINATION, 2013

Union Public Service Commission Announces SCRA examination for appointment as Special Class Apprentices in Mechanical Department of Indian Railways.

Candidates are required to apply online only there is no other method of application

Important Dates:
Date of Notification: 13/10/2012
Last date of Online Application: 12/11/2012
Date of Examination: 20/01/2013

Eligibility:  a) XIIth with first or Second Division. With mathematics and either physics and chemistry as one of the subject.  OR
b)  Graduate with mathematics

Age:  17 years to 21 years on 1st Jan 2013

Cost of Application:  Rs 100/- either by depositing money at SBI branch or through net banking or credit cards.

How to apply:

1. First register yourself on www.upsconline.nic.in , you will get registration number.
2. Next will be to get challan printed if you are using offline medium for payment, pay amount in the SBI Branch and after payment you will get Transition No. on the counter foil, again come back to www.upsconline.nic.in click on part II registration, enter transition no. and upload your photograph and signature. This completes’ your registration.
3. For online payment go for part II registration and upload image.

Scheme of Examination:
Examination will be of two parts a) written examination of 600 marks b) personality test of 200 marks.

Written exam consist of 3 papersGeneral ability test

1. General ability test
2. Physical Sciences( physics and chemistry)
3. Mathematics

All paper will be of 3 hours and will be conducted on same day.
