  • G-20 submit held in LOS CABOS. G-20 is the group of developed and developing countries, which accounts of 80% of world GDP.
  • In G-20 submit India will contribute $10 billion in IMF ($430 billion) to euro zone.
  • Central government allotted on additional 5 million tones of food grains to Bellow the poverty line families under PDS.
  • Pakistan's supreme court disqualified Yusuf Raza Gilani from prime ministerialship after his conviction for contempt of court last month
economy:
  • The reserve bank of India extended the 2% interest subsidy scheme by another year on rupee export credit to the labour oriented and small scale sectors to cushion them from slowdown in markets such as the U.S and Europe.
  • P.S Bhattachry has resignend from chairmanship of Haldia PetroChemical Ltd.(HAL).
  • Central Board of Exice and Custom panel deferred the implementation of new Service Tax by 3-4 months to put in place the required framework.New tax regime will based on negative list. thus tax will be levied on all items except 17 services put in negative list.
  • ONGC and CNPC (China National Petroleum Corporation) have signed a memorandum of understanding for co-operation in Hydrocarbon Sector.

RAILSWAYS ASSISTANT STATION MASTER RRB GOODS GAURD COMMERCIAL APRENTICE EXAM SYLLABUS

RAILWAY RECRUITMENT BOARD INVITED COMBINED APPLICATION FOR THE FOLLOWING POSTS
  1. ASSISTANT RAILWAY MASTER
  2. GOODS GUARD
  3. CLERK AND TRAFIC APPRENTICE
  4. COMMERCIAL APPRENTICE
Notification of the examination CEN No. 03/2012.
RRB haven't mentioned the syllabus about the examination.
This will be combined exam and will be conducted in month of Oct 2012.
There are total  547 posts.

So what will be the syllabus of the examination.
Most probably  exam will be based on SSC pattern.That is there will be 4 section containing 40-50 questions. Different section of the examination will be:-

  1. GENERAL AWARENESS ( RELATED TO RAILWAY) AND CURRENT AFFAIRS
  2. GENERAL MATHEMATICS
  3. GENERAL ENGLISH 
  4. REASONING ABILITY.

SSC CGL 2012 SUGGESTION GENERAL STUDIES STRATEGY AND PREPRATION

ALL India Combined graduate level examination is going to be held on 1st and 8th of July 2012.
Now you have very sort period to prepare for the examination. Here are the few strategy to crack preliminary  examination.

 CGL 2012 PRELIMINARY EXAM CONSIST OF:
  • QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE 50 QUESTIONS.
  • REASONING ABILITY 50 QUESTIONS.
  • GENERAL ENGLISH 50 QUESTIONS
  • GENERAL AWARENESS 50 QUESTIONS.
Total time for the examination is 2 hours.

Best strategy for carcking this is exam to first solve english question because being easy subject it need patient to solve it correctly. then solve reasoning part but in scheduled time of 30 min. then comes maths again in scheduled time of 30 min and then finally general awareness because even if you are running out of time you can still solve it correctly as it takes less than 15 sec to solve question.

TIPS FOR GENERAL STUDIES:

Most probably  the current affair part of this portion will be asked from the events happened in the month of January, February, March, April and little bit of May.
